The Rain "Celebration"

On the first day it rains in Sandrock, Owen holds a "party" at the Blue Moon. As soon as he finishes his speech though, everyone turns round and leaves, even him! Poor Coogo play to an empty saloon. And Owen says he's provided food, and there's no evidence of this, not even an omelette table like there is sometimes after a fireside meeting.

It would be nice if at least some of the NPCs actually hung around for a bit to listen to the music, the way they do by the stage on Wednesday(?) evenings.

+1 I agree with this. I was waiting for at least some music, food, interesting discussions,,, It was really sad to see everyone leaving the saloon as soon as the cutscene stopped

I thought it was kind of funny the first time I saw it. It's probably one of those little things a developer meant to get back to later, and never did because more pressing things kept coming up. It might be just me, but it definitely has that "placeholder" feel to it.

I was wondering if it was a glitch when I experienced this yesterday. Shame because I was kinda looking forward to it, but everyone left when the speech was over.

Yeah, that is weird. I feel like adding multiplayer took away a lot from what they could have done with the game. (I miss many things about Portia, but LOVE both games.)

Also, I only played 2 years in my first go and stopped when Fang asked for a baby. (I am kinda waiting for the later content they plan.) So my new save is near the end of winter year one.
Does it ever rain again? I keep my buckets out just in case.
