Simple sandfish pond purpose?

Does the simple sandfish pond that you can place in your yard do anything like breeding or is it just a display thing?

I haven't found a purpose for it, so I'd assume it is purely decorational

Since its release, the pond can be used for breeding, I didn't know until recently. In the EA it was just decoration. In the games center there is a fish tank that is also used for breeding. I have the feeling that breeding goes faster with the tank, but I could also be wrong.

I'll try that, see which one is faster.

The fish in the tank cannot be fed but can still be bred. The ones in the pond need bran bait.

Thank you! I saw you could breed them, but nothing happened. Weird there seems to be no prompt for it.

Will probably still be buggy🤷🏻‍♀️ I just put 2 big fish of the same kind in, maybe that's why? From what I've observed, you always get the preamp out. King fish breeds large and normal ones. Very rarely a king fish comes out. You usually get the normal ones out of the big ones and rarely the big ones. I think it will take 2 or 3 days

I have found the tank faster. If I have two kings, I get a new fish every day. Kings will RARELY breed you a king, but I have had one. I recommend king carps and sandcuddas as you use those in cooking often. Or it could be my original EA file doesn't breed as fast, but I don't have the pond in my new game yet.

Not all fish seem to breed yet though.
