Sandwalls, Sandstorms, and Items
I tried looking this up on the wiki but it's not mentioned whatsoever.

Do the Sandwalls you get from the mission involving it, protect from items being blown away during a Sandstorm?

If not, could we please get a toggle to turn off the items blown away mechanic?

It seems rather unfair to not have much control over expensive crap being blown away in a sandstorm and while the game says to "look at which way the wind is blowing", a couple times now this has happened and I looked absolutely everywhere, and no signs of the missing items at all, going all the way to the boundaries checking for them.

Thankfully, the 2nd time it was just a bronze pipe (which is kinda stupid, ain't no wind storm that's going to blow a bronze pipe away short of a tornado), the first I don't even know what it was.

I don't like the idea of having to shut all my machines down or spend an entire day standing next to my machines to grab whatever they produce as soon as its ready.

I just think it's a stupid mechanic and it'd be nice to turn it off if Sandwalls don't protect from it (which they absolutely should). But since wiki makes no mention of this, I'm led to believe the Sandwalls don't actually protect your machines.

EDIT: Also the message "some of your items were blown away..." is very misleading. The first time it happened, I assume it meant some items that were in my inventory as I came out of The Breach and I coulda sworn I picked up a hammer that was not in my inventory afterward but upon looking it up on wiki, it says that the items blown away are from machines in your yard. Perhaps tweak this message to make it more clear what is actually happening?

I don't think I got the message "Items were blown away" after getting my Sandwalls. So I think it protects your workshop completely. But I can't be 100% sure, maybe I was just lucky.

Also remember you have to raise them (a button on the gate). Not sure if the sandwall is automatically raised during sandstorms - I keep it up all the time because I like how it looks.

After getting the sand wall i keep it raised by pressing the button on the gate, otherwise you will be reminded to raise it every time a sandstorm happens.

The sandwall does stop your items from being blown away. I have been through many sandstorms without getting that message again. If you didn't want to keep the wall up (it bugs me sometimes cause I tend to always jump over my fence) just remember to put it up every night before you go to bed, unless of course there is a storm, then just keep it up.

The issue I have with sandstorms is the wiki says water collectors will drain faster so you should collect water in the morning, but every single time a sandstorm shows up, the moment I step out of my house all water collectors are at 0, even if they were near full the night before. That is pretty unfair. It should give you a chance to pick it up.

It stops being an issue once you get the magic mirror as it collectors for you on a regular basis.

Dew is blown away the moment the sandstorm starts. There's no way around that except hiring Rosie the mirror or emptying them frequently so the loss is minimal if a sandstorm happens next day.

As soon as you raise the sandwall, it protects your workshop from items blowing over the fence.

That's good to hear that the sandwall actually works.
