Grace?
But I agree with the overall point that all romance options should have had equal amount of scenes.
TBH this is completely a personal taste issue; I was really grumpy initially about the lack of decent male candidates (prior to encountering Logan), and had joked with a friend that it was the first cozy game my toon was going to marry another lady because they were SO MUCH better just at their base level.
better than portia regardless where Arlo and Ginger were the ONLY reasonable candidates >.> (fite me)
But seriously. GRACE. She is one of the best characters in the game.
Grace is great too, especially if you haven't been spoilered. Even Logan has trouble keeping up with her.
But yes, dating time needs improvement. Since kids were added recently, early pregnancy could be used as an confession quest for those that don't have it, for example tired Amirah after doing a big order on a date walk with us almost collapses and we offer her to spend the night at our place and if the player is male she shows up 2 days later telling us she's pregnant (would be quite funny panic time for responsible Amirah). Elsie could also follow similar route (the rants from Cooper would be insane). Similar for few guys getting the player pregnant.
I think they originally intended Mi-An to be much bigger than she was, but scaled back her involvement due to people complaining about her being the voice of the MC who gets all the credit for stuff. I think they overdid it by making her fade into the background completely.
Honestly while I do love the game, I've found most characters pretty shallow in their development. Many rely on stock tropes, cliches and caricatures. Some rise above that and become well rounded characters, but others just stay fairly generic.
From what I've seen of the development road-map, they are planning more NPC quests, possibly more romance related stuff.
If a female did the same thing to me as Arvio did , I would have loved it.
