No Workshop XP from Automation is BS
I love this game. I bought it in EA and played through the first bit before deciding to wait for the full release. I've spent so many hours in this game.

However, after spending the time, Gols, and frustration with the finicky home editor to create a fully optimized Factory, I noticed suddenly that I was no longer getting Workshop XP.

From a purely conceptual point, I get it. My builder is no longer directly interfacing with the machines, so why get XP for pushing buttons on a panel? HOWEVER, MTaS is hardly the kind of game to put realism over gameplay in almost every other instance.

As a gameplay mechanic, this makes absolutely no sense. The effort it took to get to this point was immense. It should be the satisfying culmination of hours upon hours of gameplay. But since I haven't maxed out the Workshop Knowledge tree (and there's an achievement for maxing knowledges), I'm now going to have to UNDO at least some, if not all, of my work and go BACKWARDS in order to manually craft things again.

I know the dev team has a ton of bugs to fix and patches to rush out, but i really wish this could get changed ASAP so I wouldn't have to bulldoze my factory.

You load 16 tons, what do you get?
Another day older and the XP is swept
St. Peter, don't you call me 'cause I can't go
I bulldoze my factory, got nothin' to show

I got one fist of Darkness, the Other of Light
If the one don't get you, the other one might.

Sorry, I have had that keyed up for weeks. Nice set up.

But yeah, I never noticed about the Loss of Exp in the Factory. In my own case I think all I lack is the Extra Building Stories/Levels/Floors, if any. I guess I could argue either side, but still, they should err on the side of include it.
