Fish Breeding Possible?

Is there a fish breeding system similiar to MTAP or is this feature missing in the sequel?
(If so, any other usage for fish than food & museum?)

Both the basic and upgraded fishponds can be used for breeding.

how long does it take? Put 2regular fish in, waited a few weeks but nothing. Any additional steps?

(I haven't been able to find anything about it on wiki either D:)

Once you have put them in, the next day onwards when you walk up the steps you will have the option to feed them. The item will need to be in your inventory to feed them. 3 or so (I didn't pay close attention) days of feeding later 2x fish will breed to create a third. Note that unlike MTAP 2x King is not guaranteed to produce another King.

What item do I use to feed 'em?

I'm going to assume that it may be different for other fish types but for King Carps it was Bran Bait made in the Blender. It will tell you what food you need to feed them when you walk onto the platform the following day.

One question tho: I breed only kings but keep getting the ordinary variant?

I've only received normal so far but someone mentioned in another thread getting a King once. I'm going to assume that unlike MTAP there is only a very small chance when you breed Kings to actually get more Kings. One of the changes to MTAS that I dislike the most.
