Don't know but whatever it was he had it coming. He is one of the most hated characters in the game (he's designed that way, I know).

There was actually a point in the later story where you can put him down right to his face in front of a client. His reaction dialogue to that was great as he tried to laugh it off.

I didn't manage to do this in my early access runs but it felt dang good kicking Yan off number one spot in the first month.

You're someone who gets it, I never went past the 1st month until they let you get an extra commission each day as a perk so I could surpass him a week before the deadline. I know he's designed that way but if it's optional, I'll take the bonuses available and just to prevent characters like him from gloating.
