But for the most part, the design of using higher-level enemies as "beef gates" (the Rockyenarolls in the earlygame, most notably) works well enough. The last thing you want to do in a game about building bigger and better things is to blunt the feeling of increased power of your core gameplay loop. The player's supposed to feel laughably overpowered because they're building their own tools to make the game that much easier.
This game was created just to annoy me as much as possible!
I wanted to play a relaxing game, I came across My time Series thinking that everything would be nice. Later I found out that the fights in this game are also the main part of the game and the plot, so I said "ok, that's fine, but make a bigger impression about the fights."
What came out:
- I asked for a level scaling option: "You will get special enemies in which you can encounter during a sandstorm and a rat in the mines"
- It would be nice if the final boss was at the very end of the game's plot: they ignored me and did a few missions related to construction, along with a super project (i.e. grinding at the end) and a few SubBosses!
- (And on top of that) It would be nice if the NPCs had additional outfits: "Ok, you'll get it" a few days later "We thought we'd show the outfits we created in Pablo's Show, but we also created new outfits for all the NPCs that should satisfy you." Really the same, only in a different color?!
That would be a welcome addition. The devs put effort into making some interesting boss fights. Some of them even have different phases. But you as the player never get to appreciate that because it's over in a few seconds. There is not need to dodge anything or observe and learn attack pattern.
I also don't think that I ever used a single healing or food buff item. Why have all these different recipes in the first place when there is no reason to use them.
Since it's a game, options would be nice.
I like their game, but I don't like what the developers continue to do with this game.
If I really wanted to play then:
- or they will fix their mistakes and stop cheating on me
- or they will add something that is amazing enough to interest me
- or someone else will fix these errors, they add mods on Nexus
- or I'll wait it out because I'm so frustrated that I don't want to play.
