...Was a major let down, one of my favorite holidays from Portia and in Sandrock it was totally bugged out. Everyone just kept teleporting around following the airship before finally combining into one huge blob like a power rangers megazord experiment gone horribly wrong. Oh well I guess.

*EDIT- Actually I've been noticing a LOT of bugs since the last singleplayer patch. Lot's of pop ins, stuttering, ect. Anyone else having this?

Yeah, I saw that NPC cluster a few days ago, on the same festival day. They were all gathered outside the Blue Moon. It mostly happens (teleporting, popping in/out) when I've played a few hours. Exit game and re-enter usually fixes this for me. There are some NPC's that are more affected than others, like Logan. He's often stuck under the terrain, or even the Shonash bridge. Had to wait days to be able to pick up one of his quests.

Usually I never get a chance to pick up any presents on this day, but that time....more for me, because no other citizens were at the drop-points. Anti-Santa, indeed.

We had this issue too, except no one followed the airship and everyone just left? And then it didn't drop anything and just flew away out of the town. We gave a gift to Matilda the day we got the letter about it (gold), and then the festival happens and boom. literally nothing. Everyone gathered in town, talked about it, the announcement about the grabbening happened, and then the ship just left and everyone went back to their usual walking around town animations.

We're playing multiplayer and both gave gold, so not sure why this happened :(

Maybe the 1.0 update broke it, because it worked fine before, both in single player and multiplayer for me. :o You guys should submit a bug report.

I can confirm this was broken for me as well in coop (2 players). We gathered with the NPC's, the airship flew over. nothing dropped, the NPC's then walked away. We couldn't even figure out where to "register". I hope this is fixed.

Wait a minute. What holiday event is this? I've never gotten to do that holiday and I'm a year and a half around. There's nothing on my calendar called the Day of the Bright Sun.

Day of the Bright Sun is held each Spring day 19.

I've been trying to get 10 gifts for the achievement.
Is it accumulative or have to get 10 at one event?

Did a save just before the event for multiple re-trys but failing every time.
I can only seem to get 4 or 5 at best.
Normally I don't bother with this event as it's soooo boring and tedious, just not fun.

Suggestions:
1. Need higher drop rate. Not many are dropped at all.
2. NPC's constantly blocking/surrounding me so I can't move out of the way.
3. Why all the waiting? 30 seconds each time? Really? yawn ...
4. Told to go to one of the highlighted areas but drops are made elsewhere.

Holidays can sometimes be skipped automatically if the date is overwritten by a main storyline quest. I've missed one that way before.

It's my Least favourite Holiday. It seems one based on Greed. At least that's the thing I take away from it.

I usually skip it. I will toss something at the Mayor for the Rep with the town, but I aint going to run around trying to get a present. I have too much as it is.

I agree with you.
It is based on greed and agro. Just not fun.
Once I get the achievement I'll go back to ignoring it.

Yeah well I've seen some IRL Easter Egg hunts turn pretty nasty in my time, kind of the same principle I guess. I just take Bright Sun with a grain of salt and appreciate the gameplay it offers.
