Really long load time for menus?
Wondering if others experience really long wait times for menus to load (main menus or shop menus) after loading a game and when leaving houses/shops? If so has there been anything said about a fix coming for that?

It seems like a small thing but it makes me not want to enter houses and play around "how can I enter shops or houses as little as possible" and that's not how I'd like to be playing lol

Since full release i get a green working on it circle whilst trying to access inventory. relationships etc. Takes maybe 4 or 5 seconds to open now.

Did you install the game on a HDD or a SSD?

I've heard the game has major lag issues and load times if you don't use a SSD.

It's a big issue, so are frame drops. It also seemed to have a memory leak as the longer I played, the worse it got. You'll get people asking you what's wrong with your computer... even the devs... My game is on my SSD, I have a brand new AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 6-Core Processor, and the 1080ti graphics card. 32GB ram. (Some people said higher end pc's have more issues, mine is not "high end".)

Here's what helped me: All the settings set to Extreme, I put to High, turned off anti-aliasing. Someone said to also turn off bug reporting (options menu under game I think), which didn't do much and I don't even know what it does. They want you to compress a bunch of files into an email with full descriptions of each bug to actually do a bug report. If it's in the game, you should be able to report from the game...

My blowing sand looks like square grids and some things look like a sharpening tool was run over it, but items being sucked to my player is faster (not as fast as it should be) and load times are less. I'm still having some extra load time on starting the game or loading a save especially near the 25 to 30 hours of gameplay mark, but at least I'm not getting the in menu message about long load times telling me to check my computer.

Other than that, they know performance is a huge issue. If you feel like going through the whole bug report nonsense, you can send them your save files and logs.

Have you installed the game on HDD or SSD?

Having same issue, and am using AMD as well, sad I can run larger, more advanced games, but cant leave my house on solo mode without it loading for 15 minutes, I have literally no issues like this on multiplayer and seems to be solo inclusive. Also, if a developer asks me if I installed on SSD I will lose my mind, because it is on SSD. I went to school or computers and clearly there is a massive issue for AMD users, especially with SOLO mode, once again multi runs great, not issues like this at all, but solo is unplayable.

I also have AMD, the game is installed on an SSD. It takes me a long time to load: I exit the buildings, then the rest of the world loads within 15 seconds, I leave the Eufaula Prospector’s cave and wait for the elevators to appear.

Would you mind sharing your save & log file along with the detailed issue description to qa@pathea.net so we can check?

Save files location: Drive where you installed Steam on:\program files (x86)\steam\userdata\user id\1084600\remote
Player.log file path: C:\Users\user\AppData\LocalLow\Pathea Games

Thanks for the help!

Hey Acneman I'm not the person you asked that of but I'm experiencing what sounds like the exact same thing so I sent over an email with those files attached, just figured I'd let you know here too.
