horse rarity

So i saw 1 purple horse during like the beginning of my playthrough during early access and haven't seen another since and i've been keeping like 50k in the bank to make sure if i see one i can but it. now i'm seeing at the bottom that horse rarity highest i can get at coopers is blue? are purple animals no longer a thing unless you refine them yourself? also i didn't do the mission for fang to unlock the fang x recipe and i can't buy it at the store. so am i SOL on getting a purple horse for good because it doesn't seem like i can make that mission force start.

I'm not sure if the wiki is accurate or not, but it says that you can't purchase purple rarity mounts. [mytimeatsandrock.fandom.com]

It could be wrong, though, I'm not 100% sure

you can give your horse items from fang to increase its rarity and stats. fang supposedly sells them im not sure though. you might have to show up for his medicine experiments on wednesday and friday mornings. I have yet to find the medicine to give them.

I haven't seen a single horse for rent or for sale. I ended up just but buying the camel I had been renting for a while. At least he/she/they are happy with me.

Horses seem to be more rare too. I've mostly seen camels and yaks which is fine, i also have a blue camel with nice stats. i do believe that, because i have not seen a purple in a long time like since playing the game last year. wed and fri? ok that's probably it because i don't ever visit the doc and i did read to unlock the recipe for the special fang x is do the the experiments. i'll try that and see if it works

I took someone elses advice on getting a horse to show up for sale.
I made a quicksave on saturday night before I went to bed. Cooper's Mount store selection updates when you wake up sunday morning. So you can continually reload that quicksave, go to sleep and check whats available until you get what you want.

I haven't seen a purple that way though. But have gotten some very high priced perfect quality ones to show up.
