Why do earrings only appear on one ear?
For female NPCs in the game, earrings are displayed in both ears, and only for a female player - in one ear? Is there anything I can do to make the earrings appear in both ears?

It seems to be a stylistic choice. Earrings for both ears are available in a paid DLC

There are about 2 earrings that are single ones and a one you can make with the jewelcrafting machine that are in both ears, but that one is very late game.

I don't know about the diamond ones, but you only get those in special cases.
