How to throw Birthday party's for npc's?
So i bough the banquet table, upon clicking it it says: that only 1 normal party can be thrown each week, while there is no limit on special party's. Thats all well in good however I don't see anyway to designate a birthday party. There are BD decorations that you can select, but nothing stating that makes it a "special party".

All info I could find on the subject is over a year old and only in regards to ones own BD party, little self centered if you ask me :P

I'm assuming you wanted to throw it for a random NPC? You can't unfortunately. You can only throw it for yourself or your spouse. It makes sense cos the table is in your house so it's 'your' party. Would be cool if you could throw parties for other npcs tho :steamhappy:

Such a low effort way to make this feature. There's no info at all relayed to the player about how to throw a party. Just, "Hold a Party." Great, thanks.
You put down the table, you pay a fee for the catering (food), you give out invites and wait for ppl to show up. What more info do you need? It's just for fun, not some crazy mission. That's how you throw parties irl too LOL

For your own birthday, you have additional party limit during that week. I'm not too sure about wedding though (e.g. you marry and divorce in succession and re-marry another person)

You can also have a birthday party on your spouse's birthday that doesn't count towards the weekly party limit. Your spouse will actually ask for you to organize the birthday party the day before his/her birthday.

It should at least tell you that you need a Banquet Table. You shouldn't have to look up how to do a mechanic on the Internet.

Anyway, I did look up how to throw a party, after my spouse asked me to throw a party for their birthday. I threw the party, on the correct day, invited their closest friends. Spouse was there, ate, enjoyed herself along with everyone else, and then the next day I failed the mission for who knows what reason. No explanation given or anything. It's not a big deal, just a small side quest, but I still wasted time doing it for no reason. Just weird.

I don't remember how I knew, but it was in the gaming center since the start of the game so I think I had just noticed it pretty early on. It took me a while to earn enough to buy it so I forgot about it until end game. But I can see how people might miss it if they don't mouse over the items.

As for your mission, hmm, that might be a bug if you did everything correctly. Did you click the birthday theme? I just bought the table, put it down, paid for the most expensive one and threw a birthday-themed party. It was my first time so I didn't dare click anything special, and it just worked.

I've 'failed' this quest twice, throwing parties with the banquet table and the proper theme. Do I need to stick my tongue out or something?

Mine also failed, I did specials like music and fireworks. Very odd and I think it might be a bug.

So I found out why it failed. You're suppose to talk to your spouse, After the party completely ends that same day. I accidentally untracked it earlier and just redid it to find out why it bugged, but it was just an error problem on my part. Not a bug.
