Do NPCs admire the relics inside?

I got a few relics, but most of them are inside. The NPCs keep admiring the outside one i have, does that mean they can't admire the one inside?

They do! All the time! Put a few out and you'll see some relationship points roll in.

I'm not sure if they can see the ones inside. I've been thinking of putting a banquet table indoors.. I'll report back if I try that

can confirm had qi come stare at my dew collector for a few min mutter fasinating then walked away got+5 points with him and a notice he admired my egg thingy i kept inside

I placed some indoors and got the message and faction for people viewing them. So yeah I guess they looked through a window (I have the one Mason's Came with. Haven't tried without that.)

I haven't seen any points for donations to the Museum.

I haven't seen any points for donations to the Museum.

You get some workshop Exp and I believe some villagers get happy with it? not sure about that last one...there's also some rewards that you can collect at the table inside the museum...but frankly...they are kinda lame...

I donate to the Museum because storing my relics becomes tedious at a certain point. This playthrough I will likely keep them in pieces because they are stackable. Only combine the ones I want.
