Anyone know what the time is about? What happens at 6pm? Do the robots go home for the day?

They have a wife robot and two twin baby robots at home, and they need to stop by the store on the way home for that sauce they love on her Microchip Casserole.

(jokes aside, that seems like a glitch, because in prior versions the player has always been able to do that quest at any time of day, and indeed it's better to do it early so you don't have to rush back to the Research Center to turn it in same day.)
