Social Knowledge farming?
Cant really find anything online but i was wondering if anyone found an effective way to level up social knowledge fast? my level is lagging way behind compared to the other 3, and i make it a priority to talk and play critter with everyone everyday. im pretty much friends with everyone but ive only leveled up a couple of times

there is one really easy method, and you can practically max social knowledge on 1 day.
but im currently facing the consequence right now.

Get camera
Get a buddy with high relation so you can take photo with them(i use my rented horse rn)
Talk to them
Take a photo
Take more photos
get an app or device that can repeat button input(optional)

For every photo you take you get social knowledge.

Now i need help. how do i delete all the photos in bulk
Thx a lot. You can delete them immediately.

I can second the guy who said to do lots of commissions.

I've been doing as many commissions as possible, and I'm getting dang close to maxing out most of the Social tree and I'm only Lv38, and the last MSQ I did was "Clear the Air".

I haven't even been doing the Civil Corps Commissions, I just do the 3 per day from the Guild (assuming they have suitable commissions TO do...) every day when possible.

Also, when you turn a commission in, it should be obvious, but you should always Chat while you're there too which is another point. So really it's 33 points/day if you do 3 commissions. You could grab the +1 commission and do 4 but that starts getting hard as lots of times you'll run out of reasonable items to do and they'll want stupid stuff like vegetables that aren't sustainable long-term (takes way too long to grow them) or stupid junk like switchboards (the circuits are hard to get in any large numbers).

This comment baffles me, i'm 80hrs into the game, doing comission everyday, every sidequest, for a while I talked and gave gifts to everyone but I don't do it anymore; Point is i'm pretty sure i'm not even level 30 social.

Me too, i'm about to finish the game, i'm lv 71 but the social is lv 29.

It's too bad that Critters doesn't give any Social EXP.
Winning festivals, or participating should give a bunch, at least in my opinion.
Going up friendship levels should give a bonus, and gifts on holidays and birthdays giving increased EXP would also be nice.

There's just no real huge gains, at least that's how it feels.
I've been mostly lazy and just grabbing commissions for the 10 exp per completion.
It's very slow, but steady I guess.
I've still got quite a ways to go to fill out the chart.

Every Party Invitation Card you gift someone is 5, thats 50 Points a week, 100 with Second Party Perk.

Honestly they should just change this achiev, it's such a bad design, the game is already loooong, there's no reason to make a achiev that will force people to grind something which isn't easy to grind. You can't say they want people to experience the dialogues and stuff when most of the people who cares about achiev are just spamming spacebar without reading anything, it's no surprise that people are using mods to multiply exp gain, when people need to resort to that a developer should take the hint.

Some other ways to grind social:

- Donate gols to the temple. Not only does it give friendship points to Pen, Miguel, Matilda and Burgess, you gain social tree points. Can donate between 20 and 2,000 gols, higher amounts give more. Can donate daily at the temple, then also at the outdoor stage by Owen's on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

- Buy the apple and royal jelly at Owen's take-out counter, once they are available. Everyone gives 8 friendship points when receiving these except for the animals. Alternate apple one day, jelly the next day, so you can give one of each to everyone you need to raise friendship points (and by extension, social tree points) with.

- Sparring is good to do whenever you can because it also gives you combat tree points.

I've nearly maxed all friendship levels and still not even close to finishing the tree... this is some bs.

I started playing Forager, finished the 100% and I don't have the courage to grind this social skill lol.
I probably won't even finish the game till they decide to either nerf the achiev or buff the exp gain.

It's not that hard but it takes time. Everytime you are free try to get ressources that you're lacking. Normally I start to define "I want to have 10 of each bars/parts ready to use", if not, I'll go to grab the material. Of course, that number can be increased as furter you go, but I think 20 is a good amout of about most of the things. Same goes with the farming, as soon you can start to plant the trees (coffee and chessnut), once they mature you'll have a free source of income. And as you plant the other crops you can and put in storage, you'll also have enough for any commissions.
Bah! If you aren't storing triple digits of metal bars you just aren't trying! :steammocking:
This was my thought. Early to midgame, I want 20 of everything I can create. By the endgame I'm storing a couple hundred and sometimes producing more stuff than I can sell if I dump resources on every shop in town. My main character's got over 4 million Gols to his name, and on my last playthrough, my builder finished the game with about 900,000 Gols in his cash-on-hand ledger in addition to a million Gols easy in land (the biggest money sink apart from backpack space), machines, and other assets.

I'd like to point out that donating to church does not give social EXP. Tried both donating in church and near Blue Moon, different values. Donations did not increase Social Knowledge EXP.
TaylerBootz Dec 5, 2023 @ 6:57pm
I just did a test as I saw someone say civil corps missions also give xp. They do NOT. Regular commissions gave me about 10 points. Civil Corps did nothing. I wish they would add more that. An increase in level and harder commissions. Right now it's just garbage filler.
Also can confirm church donations don't either.
