wonder how long it takes this time
I will say that after Pablo returns you do get a redo on the hair color, so you can fiddle with it after; just sucks it costs quite a few Gols for the early game. Save scumming that might be optimal.
In this game, male characters especially stand out really badly. The face options aren't great, don't have much skin detail so you're smooth af and don't match the overall style of everyone in Sandrock, plus the male body type looks very odd next to literally all the other men in Sandrock. The female character you can make blend in a bit better with some effort, I've not been able to do the same with the male character.
I tend to use the default female with little tweaks. It bothers me a little how they use the default appearance 2D portrait on menus, specially on the relationship tab.
The best you can ask for is more hair, makeup, options. Things that won't require them to do tons and tons of work to reprogram all the clothing to fit a bunch of different body. The devs have said they aren't going to do different body types.
