- You have co-op and solo quests, for co-op anyone can hand in the resources and the rewards are shared. There is only one money pool. Solo quests so far have all been story / unlocking features related and all players had to do them individually, but they were mostly short and not many so far.
- You can technically build as many homes as you want. You build boxes in various shapes, place a roof on it, put the doors / windows wherever you want and it's a house (similar to build mode in The Sims, just a lot more simple). You can either connect more rooms to one house or make multiple individual houses (which takes up more space so not really that viable in the beginning when space is very limited on your homestead). The homestead is shared between all players and can be upgraded to have more space though.
- Each player creates their own Multiplayer acc, everything related to your character is saved in a character save. Everything related to your home is saved in a world save. Each player can create their own world and you can join other player's worlds with your saved character. Progress in each world is tied to the world, so if you create a world for yourself but join a friend in their world all progress that is made is for your friend's world and you'd have to do the same things over again in yours afaik.
I did enjoy my time in the Sandrock multiplayer so far. ;)
I'm still a bit bummed out that singleplayer has its own story and multiplayer seems to be a slimmed down version story-wise but other than the story content it seems to include most of the same things in multiplayer and to me fighting monsters and building machines is always a lot more entertaining with a partner.
I'll give singleplayer a try at some point to see what the differences are for myself but maybe someone else can clarify what multiplayer is lacking that is available in singleplayer. I know my Kickstarter cosmetic rewards won't show up in MP and you can't have children in MP for now.
