Yeah, I figured out how to stack into the currently open chest. I'm just confused on a few things. So for example (using KBM controls for this explanation).
There are two yellow buttons with the chest open. One button is named [AUTOFILL] and the other button is named [SORT ALL].... but they seem to do the same thing? What's the difference???
Then if you click on SORT ALL (or hold the sort button on controller), then it opens a dialogue window where you can optionally check a box that says "transfer without sorting".
Regardless of whether you check this box or not, it transfers the items AND auto-sorts the chest, so I don't understand what it does.
It's good to know that the random items not stacking is a known issue, though, and I'm not just going crazy lol
Thanks, I'll test this out.
Hopefully I can deposit into all chests without it also auto-sorting all of my chests. I can't figure out how that option works. (Seems to auto-sort my chests whether I check the box or not.)
*edit*
yeah the "transfer without sorting" option seems busted. It completely screws up the sorting of all my chests whether I check that box or not, so I guess I can't use the deposit-all option for now =\
But, what I want to know is, can you change the ORDER of your chests without manually taking everything out of one and putting it in another.
They are alphabetical by name, so you can rename your boxes (without touching the contents) to "01A Things", "01B Stuff", etc.
OMG Thanks.
