It's works terribly. if You don't have active friend playing, You're on Your own. otherwise, You'll met stranger. that can just spend your money and overtake and disturb everything. The boundaries and sense of personal space doesn't exist. Who need it in multiplayer. lets just toss everything out of the window and lets chaos ensue. what could go wrong? LOT
If I play multiplayer, I will be playing with friends, so your complain doesn't affect me. I'm more interested in know more about the multiplayer gameplay.

so multiplayer is not the full game?
hard pass.
But when they were working on it they noticed they couldn't get it to work to their satisfaction and split both modes, Which you can read in the news linked earlier in this topic.
From kickstarter page:
All the way from the drawing board the multiplayer was going to be separate mode from single player with it's own map and quests. They initially planned 20-30 hour storyline for MP but it was canned due to negative feedback from the players and lack of time and resources to implement another story.
