For New Buyers Who Want to Mod the Game
Greetings! I’m a huge fan of My Time at Portia and I plan on buying Sandrock very, very soon to dive back into the beautiful universe of Pathea Games.

One thing I did to improve my enjoyment, however, was to mod the game so that I may take multiple commissions at once, and increase the production of my workshop’s machines.

With all that being said…
What mods are a must-have for My Time at Sandrock, and what advice can Early Access players share with newcomers?

Hire multiple NPCS that act like pets and you can send them out for materials and you pay them daily.

Hire craft-specific npcs to increase crafting speed/bonus materials

STAMINA, which is something I never mod.

I made a game enhancing mod with many options if you are interested. I just updated it to the 1.0 release.

Google "drummerix my time at sandrock" for more info.

Soon as I finish downloading, I'll be starting my third playthrough; have over 600 hours now in the game.

I've not modded at all. I haven't felt the need or desire for any mods. There really aren't any UI irritations, stamina and money become trivial by mid game; they really improved tons of stuff since Portia. You can get up to 4 commissions a day after a few seasons.

If I were to mod, maybe a mod for relationship/social points. Some characters are super simple to become friends with (tyvm commissions and missions); others are a grind to gain friendship status because they aren't part of missions or commissions.

Some important ones:

* Get the water conservation knowledge point ASAP. Don't convert dew to water otherwise.
* pay attention to price swings. Buy water when the market is -10 or more. Never pay full price for water.
* make 3-4 furnaces. Hit up abandoned ruins constantly make a ridiculous amount of bars.
* related: wreck the scrap pile while you're at it. Don't overlook rubber either. You will need it later. The unwritten law of My Time games is always be crafting.
* Get a horse ASAP once you're not broke. Rent it if you have to. Huge QOL improvement vs. running around.
* do festivals! You get access to furniture that are hard to get otherwise.

The game absolutely need a money box mod. That allow You to pitch in money for common goal into a box and allow you to keep and have personal money. Force share money is a terrible idea. it's pretty much force, you to only play with people you know.

I don't think there are any mods that are a "must-have."

I would advise using a horse, or other mount, as soon as they become available. Rent them if you can't afford a stable or don't want one.

On the subject of number of commissions, you unlock the ability to do a 2nd commission via story, and you can unlock a 3rd commission slot via skill tree. Honestly, it is more than enough. If I have to do any more commissions in a day, I will run out of primary materials. Getting enough rubber is still proving to be a problem even when I am the point of finishing the bridge to the Western zones. that is I think roughly half way through the game.

edit:

A good source of Rubber every couple of days is the Junkyard. there are 3 tires that spawn consistently every 2 or 3 days I forget which.
