Suggestion: Map ticks

It would be real helpful if there are custom map ticks that we can place on the map to mark specific resources or locations of interest. These ticks do not need to show in the mini map. Thanks.

You can place your own markers on the map, i did it once for Valley of Whispers to figure out where the exit was! ... LOL

I think OP wants some symbols, to mark ressources points. The markers vanishes once we get to the local and keep an arrow on the mini-map. The ticks are permanent and don't point on the map, they're just to mark important ressources places.

I know this is a bit old, but I'd like to second the request. Currently we can place a single, unlabeled marker on the map, which disappears when a new one is placed. Given that a lot of the terrain is similar in appearance and short on unique landmarks, we could really use a tool for remembering which patch of sand spawned that rare resource last season.

Same marker style but different colour options to choose from.
Also an additional option to "remove all".
