Buried Chests?
Is there a shovel I missed somewhere?

I am actually pissed off at this ridiculousness.
So many chests I was unable to open simply due to someones thinking that it makes sense you have to carry a feather duster around for them?
Some F-ing designers should be banned from ever getting near game development.

How are all your machines not drowning in sand by now without the duster?
Anyway, you get the vacuum cleaner later if duster is too low tech. :steammocking:

I have/had the duster but kept it in a box at base. I don't like carrying around a million items. And then I turned dusting over to my robotic maid.

At some point you never need to us the feather duster again because you have a vacuum after a certain story mission

Oh, I do have the vacuum but again, I leave it at the base.

I'm having to run around EVERYWHERE I did not uncover sandy chests. LOL.

The feather duster or vacuum is just part of my standard equipment set. Pickhammer, axe, melee weapon, ranged weapon, duster. I carry them everywhere, just in case they're needed.

The fish trap gets left at home, however, unless I'm actually planning to fish. A very rare pastime for me in this game.

I hate carrying a million items too, but I hate getting items in and out of chests more. So I always make exceptions with commonly used items like the feather duster.

Unlocking the extra slots means you can use the far back slots for items you cant use unless you carry them like cooking and farming stuff, i use the front top row for equipment that i will change out or replace later, i also suggest learning the large storage box from the mystery man as it helps for organizing things better, a quick use is that you can open one and swap all others on your yard.

Also if you dont know yet, if its in a chest on your yard using some of the machines, crafting and assembly stations dont require you to be carrying the item needed, its auto pulled, too bad there is no auto load option.

It just wasn't made obvious you need to carry a duster to get sand off a chest. That's just not intuitive at all.
So if you keep your duster in a chest at your base, you miss ALL the chests out and about that are covered.

Just something else I will know if I ever do play the full release.

There's just too many of these goofy, totally non-intuitive assumptions by the designer. They get annoying.
