Where is the dead sea?

I need to upgrade my daggers with something found in the dead sea. Where is the dead sea and how do I get to it?

According to the wiki, the Dead Sea is on the south of the Eufaula desert. I suppose that means you would cross the Shonash Canyon bridge, follow the railroad tracks past Gecko Station, and then head south near the Shipwreck Ruins. Good luck.

The Dead Sea is close to the big ship (go down the long ally), but I can't think of anything there for upgrades. What resource are you looking for? I suspect you want Underlab 7. If so, you can't access it until you get the Into the Abyss mission.

This is it right here—it's the area that opens up beyond the Bend (the area of the Portia tunnel missions) along with the mission Livia mentioned.

I thought so - you need to complete the mission I noted above before you can access it. Course, by that point, you should have the best sword in the game and so it's pointless. 🙄

EDIT: Technically the desert is the Dead Sea, but it is confusing as there's only one spot labelled that way on the map, and that's not where you need to be.

Sounds like the marker on the map hasn't been updated. When the submarine ruins was added to the game, the area directly south of it looked like a salt plains and was labelled the Dead Sea. So the name on the map probably stuck from before they began modelling the area south of the submarine.
