Food for Merle the goat
Does anyone know what food the goat likes or is it trial and error

Eh, I try them all because each mount is different, no idea if Merle's taste would be different on another game, but for me, she hates most but Mushrooms, haven't given her tomato's yet but everything else is pretty much in the yellow/orange or close to being another tier.

I tried giving one of each food and got these results.
1st choice - tomatoes
2nd choice - chestnuts
etc

Now waiting for the tomatoes to grow so she's stuck with the chestnuts in the meanwhile.

Yeah did a bit of trial and error with the food stuffs and found out tomatoes are her favourite

The preferences are probably the same for all players similar to the other types of mounts.

Didn't test all of them but the preference for chestnuts and not liking mushrooms too much was the same in my game.

When I got Merle, the Stable had one each of every food, and Merle ate the tomato first, finding it quite to her liking. So I'm rolling with tomatoes in the feed trough.

Can't say as I've done much with animals or mounts up to this point though.

She is very cute. Wonder why I can't pet her, it's kind of sad i can't.

It's because your looking after her for Haru,and yes kinda a bit sad not being able to pet her but still gain loyalty
