Missed side quests?

I've had random side quests pop up that I would forget about because they never showed up in the quest list (like Catori World?) or because they would trigger before I even had the ability to make the equipment for them (like the advanced Cooktop for Mystery Man's quest, when I only had the very basic one), or that I'd just plain forget about (Like the Dessert Stall quest). Am I missing anything by missing these? Do the quests ever pop up again? If they are important, why are they so easy to miss?

They're not important. That's why they're side quests.

The ones that ARE important stay around and can't really be missed.

Most side missions trigger only once and will disappear indefinitely if ignored or failed.

they always say how long you have to complete when you pick up any mission.
