I don't see the point of having paintings in the showrooms? I just want the house, I can decorate myself.
Anyhow, I've been building houses since the first The Sims game and this game is so counter-intuitive that I entirely gave up on making a second floor. It's in theory nice to be able to do this, but I think the dev team needs to realise you can't put all game styles in a single game and do them well.
I'd be very happy if I could upgrade like Portia, or at least have Very Basic Non-Decorated Houses in the base showroom.
1) The option to add a much wider "door" between rooms to essentially make 2 rooms into one giant room by removing the wall (or most of it)
2) Less wonky roofing. Allow me to choose which direction the roof faces by which direction I expand the box in first from initial placement... if that doesn't make sense let me try this:
If I click my mouse to place a roof, then move the cursor to the left then forward/back the roof spine should be on the forward/back axis. If I move the mouse forward/back first, the roof spine should go on the left/right axis. Also allow roof dimensions to be longer/shorter than rooms to make it easier to match them up on non-square houses.
3) More compact stairs options. I know it's been mentioned before, but I have to emphasize my support for this one.
4) Outdoor pathing/flooring. Because red dirt isn't that attractive. And... unlike the farm plots can we get these to not allow the grass to come up through them?
5) Decorative plants/trees. I don't really mind if I have to plant them myself, but I would like more options for these. Especially the tree department.
6) A few more fence and sandwall options would be nice.
