Quest To soon...

I got a quest to soon from the vendor guy that only comes every so often.. He asked to to cook something for him and i couldn't cause I DIDn't have the item he said i did.. now i got a meanish type of letter from him mocking me..

The only thing you can do is load a save from before you accepted his mission, if you have one. If possible, you should choose a save from before you started research on the Apprentice Cooking Station and put off that research until after the Mysterious Man has finished his monthly visit. I'm sorry I don't have a better solution for you.

It's your responsibility to know what equipment and materials you have. (The mission sounds to me like Iron Chef Free Cities.) The equipment you need is the Apprentice Cooking Station, and the Mysterious Man won't offer you the mission unless you've already completed the research for it. However, he doesn't check to see whether you've actually built the cooking station. Building it also requires an intermediate worktable, a furnace, and a processor to make some of the materials. You are likely to fail the mission if you haven't already researched and built all of these. You should also have at least a bronze pickhammer and a bronze axe to help you collect marble, hardwood, and rubber scrap.

Unfortunately, that means you can get offered the mission before you are ready and there might not be enough time to get everything done. I think this is a one-time mission, so if you turn it down, or don't complete it, you won't get another chance. That's why you should consider loading an earlier save if you have one.

(NOTE: The last time I played this mission was before the April 12 update. It's possible that things have changed.)

You had the two different type of meat, green veggie and flour plus the spice that he gave you?
He wouldn't offer you the quest if you didn't have the blueprint for Apprentice Cooking Station unlocked.

that is the thing all i had was the drying rack and nothing else for cooking.. I didn't even set the pattern to learn yet.

that Might be the best ideal to reload to before he showed up. At lest then i know to start that pattern asap.. I haven't yet even clicked on that pattern though.. maybe i ran into a bug.. Cause all i had was the drying rack lol.

Not made no. I didn't even know it was a thing until i googled it. But now that i know ill learn it as soon as i can..

I'm trying to complete this quest now and it says I need a better cooking station than the apprentice, is this bugged now or have they changed it?

What says that you need a better cooking station? Did you unlock the "drool with joy noodles" recipe on the standard cooking station but it refuses to make the dish?

This kinda has me wary of the game, I'm looking for something that's not 'LIMITED TIME! DO ASAP!' like how portia has the bus quest.

that is odd. i got that quest as well, but he stuck around until I was finished cooking it for him. so I'm wondering if you just don't see him on the map. I know exactly the quest you are talking about as well. You only need the apprentice cooking station to finish this quest. and the mysterious man does give you the peppers you need to finish. you should have everything.

don't be worried. i think it's a misunderstanding on the original poster's side. ^^
