wedding location options

hello, was wondering if there's any chance we could have a non-church option for the wedding location? the workshop or the area across the tracks from the oasis would be a good second option.

Workshop might be kind of hard to do... It needs a big space, so unless you got decent amount of room, it won't happen, plus got to consider AI issues, they might get stuck on stuff like they sometimes do during parties at your place. Now i'm sure you could have it done, or maybe they can add temporary attachment near your workshop for it.

I do think other locations would be fun however, maybe they'll add more in the future, I think they plan to add more into the marriage system in the future besides the next update, this could always be added into that.

Hmmm... Not sure where another good wedding spot could be though. Imagine one at the Moisture farm, I think that would be cool, though I dont think Zeke would enjoy everyone leaving a mess, and well, if the moisture setting happened to turn on, everyone would get soaked.

I think it would be cool to have it near the Oasis, but they would need to take down the fence and some bushes because there is not enough room. D:

Im sure maybe Pathea could come up with some idea's...

EDIT: Or maybe that little area where the firework spot is, I think that would be a nice area. I also hope we could maybe choose time of day for wedding. I think a night time themed wedding would be cool... so long as everyone could see.

What is the problem of Church wedding? As for other locations, player workshop would be impossible to use as every player workshop (not only the workshop building itself but the entire player owned land) is different from each other and location needs to be predefined.

^ Exactly what I was thinking, that's why I suggested a spot maybe "outside" of the workshops yard/area.

If the Church turns out to be behind the evils going on in the main story, it might be a bit awkward to have a wedding in the church just as you're closing in on Miguel or Pen if they turn out to be Duvos agents...

In-universe, moving a wedding out to a neutral site ducks what could be some jarring dissonance between the story and the event.

Or the Church could have nothing to do with the Duvos thing and Logan could be talking about something else entirely (or completely wrong in his assessment of the situation so far...)

As for the IRL implications for the players, I got married in a courthouse (and also divorced in one! The circle of life...)

Last time Logan went to church with someone, it blew up. It's not necessarily a one-sided request not to be wed in the Church, ^.^

Or what about a "non-church" wedding ceremony at City Hall? That seems to be where a lot of IRL civil ceremonies happen. :)
Perhaps even Mayor Trudy could officiate in that instance, rather than one of the church folks.

If you want a non-religious option, there's that sparring ring in the back of town where you think it could be pretty easily converted. Or even just on the steps of city hall, like the fireside meetings. There's also the map for the running of the yakmels that could be reused as a wedding venue.

Might be interesting, as a post-release update unless they think they can squeeze it into the release after next, if each marriage candidate had their own alternate location. Like Zeke could be either in, or out front of the moisture farm. Nia out at little garden. Catori maybe by her sandsledding operation. Arvio/Amirah could be on the steps of Arvio's shop. Elsie could be on that big plateau by the Shonesh canyon. Grace and Owen could be inside the saloon. Heidi on the same plateau as Elsie, but facing the bridge instead. Mi-an is kind of a tough one, but maybe it could actually take place in one of the mines since she talks about practicing her singing in there, or else maybe on the deck of the submarine ruins since she is a builder. I know I'm forgetting plenty of other characters, but you get the idea. Some location that is significant to that character. When the character agrees to your proposal they could ask where you think would be a good location to have the wedding and you can choose either the church or the location unique to their character.

I want to see lots of options. Secular, religious, multiple locations, no ceremony and just a paper signing, etc.

How about just using the stage adjacent to the Blue Moon? Plenty of room for guests and has a sound system so they can hear the vows.

I don't see the problem with the church option. It's not like the local religion has anything serious in its "theology", it is basically "don't kill the planet" + a bit of taoism.

Exactly. Not all weddings are held at a church. Some are at beaches, my cousin at hers at the highest mountain point in my state, which I didn't walk to because it was a two mile hike.. Most people just went to the reception...

Some have it at other locations, even their own homes, private resorts, you name it. Doesn't always have to be a church. I know if I ever got married I would want it to be near a lake or a beach, or some nice body of water that doesn't look like literal dirt.

Tbh you can be sure, no many people will participate in the wedding of a family member like this, lol nice plan. Also the oasis sounds like a beautiful spot to marry. It´s alright if you choose between three to four spots, some games have that option already, can´t be too hard. I want a wedding picture in MTAS near the water tower or the oasis with red letters which say: "WHERES DA WOTA, MOFOS?!"
