Changing clothes color?
Is there, or will be in the future ability to change color of gear items, clothes, accessories or weapons?

not yet, In “My Time at Portia” it was possible after a quest to have an NPC change the look of clothing. So the chance that a similar system for clothing items does the same thing is high

Was There?

I know there was a the Sewing Machine, but all that did was upgrade lower level clothing Items to higher stats. There was a Weapon forge that did the same.

I don't recall anything allowing you to change colors but I don't think I played the Mason Update.

They certainly have a Furniture Feature where you can change patterns and colors but I don't know if they plan to implement something similar for clothing. I know people have mentioned and requested such a feature. Whether it will come to pass. I don't know.

We have the Refiner so Stats (not as important as Effects) can be improved up to a point and I personally have found that Clothing Equipment is less a factor than the Items placed on Workshop Lot for improvement of stats.

I mean at least after reaching mid game.

sorry, maybe I should word it a bit better, it only allows players to modify the clothing to look like other clothing. Making it possible to give the high-end gear the same look as low-end gear.
I would change the Saint's Headgear to look like the Bandanna
