But yes that would be a nice feature to have in the game, specially for the early and mid game - when you didn't learn all the recipes yet and also don't have enough extra raw materials to spend (since I try to keep a minimum "stock" of everything, I usually only accept the commissions that use materials that have enough extras)
I tend to keep large inventories of just about every resource in the game—even though it's a giant PITA keeping enough water on hand, either having to buy it or run a massive number of dew collectors, it's just my playstyle—but there are some resources that you're just always out of.
Or, worse yet, it's either the chromium or alloy daggers, one or the other (I forget which) that take claws as one of the components, a resource only available through getting them off bandirats, which only appear in two main story quests and once those claws are gone, they're gone. They need to either change that recipe or make claws buyable somewhere—not sure if you can get them by commissioning the Civil Corps but that's a step most players won't think to use; even I tend to forget it's there and I've got 500 hours in this blasted game.
I totally forgot this was one of the things I picked up and never found out what it was for (I mass bought all the recipes since I figured id need them eventually) and it definitely does help having that at least in this case, I can run from the mini board to check my stuff but I still do wish it listed the components under an extra button or something. Thank you for reminding me!
