Commission Specs
Every morning I run to check on commissions before I did anything else- I don't even know if Mi-an takes them from you if she gets there first, I just have a hard habit from doing it in Portia lol. When I look at the commissions I often have to either run back to my farm to see what I currently have and or look up on line what is needed to make them because there's definitely too much to know off the top of my head. Herse to hoping in the final game they let you have both a way to check your current stock of items wherever you are and have some sort of recipe book for all these items that you can both check then and there before accepting commissions. It doesn't seem very out of line with other things (like how the assembly station lists what you need or when you go into machines they list what you have vs what you need). It would just skip the steps of me having to run back and forward/having to look up what components I need.

Unless there is a way to do that that Im not aware of...?

The smaller commission board definitely helps (at some point you'll unlock the recipe at the shop inside the commerce guild)
But yes that would be a nice feature to have in the game, specially for the early and mid game - when you didn't learn all the recipes yet and also don't have enough extra raw materials to spend (since I try to keep a minimum "stock" of everything, I usually only accept the commissions that use materials that have enough extras)

It's something you learn through experience, but it'd be nice to be able to mouse over the item being commissioned and see its recipe (or if you even have the recipe.)

I tend to keep large inventories of just about every resource in the game—even though it's a giant PITA keeping enough water on hand, either having to buy it or run a massive number of dew collectors, it's just my playstyle—but there are some resources that you're just always out of.

Or, worse yet, it's either the chromium or alloy daggers, one or the other (I forget which) that take claws as one of the components, a resource only available through getting them off bandirats, which only appear in two main story quests and once those claws are gone, they're gone. They need to either change that recipe or make claws buyable somewhere—not sure if you can get them by commissioning the Civil Corps but that's a step most players won't think to use; even I tend to forget it's there and I've got 500 hours in this blasted game.

You can totally get claws from the Civil Corp Commisioning. You may just need to get past a certain point in the story. Usually by the time Mole Cave is opened as an Abandoned Ruin.

Ignore any requests that involve weapons, furniture, perfect quality, fish, food. Stick to materials gained from recyclers, processors or grinders. Just keep 3 recyclers going all the time and you'll be good.

As far as I can tell, unlike in Portia, Mi-an does not take commissions from the board. Might that change before the game's actual release? Who can say?

I totally forgot this was one of the things I picked up and never found out what it was for (I mass bought all the recipes since I figured id need them eventually) and it definitely does help having that at least in this case, I can run from the mini board to check my stuff but I still do wish it listed the components under an extra button or something. Thank you for reminding me!
