columns please

I'd really love some column/pillar options for building, especially as we cannot use items on roofs (ex: sand eagles) to do the job. I want to make a patio space with an overhang on one side of my house and an open one on the other. Well, I mean, I did, but it looks like the roof is just floating.

Also: I know this has been mentioned, but just an additional request: ability to put items on the roof. If I can put it inside, let me put it on the roof. Will make for much nicer patios.

I would love this. I have some parts of my home that isn't perfectly on top of other pieces. Some I actually have my stables underneath so it takes up less space. I think having columns would be amazing for this. Was actually wondering one day some time back if there was an object I could use that looked like one, there really isn't any. :(

Why can't rooms be shrunk smaller than 5x5? A 1x1 or 2x2 room could be used as a column, and a long thin room could be used as a catwalk.

If it's the bed issue, then just say that only rooms without a bed can be shrunk that small.
