Dear DEVS - Suggestions

I've been playing all this weekend and i got a million commissions for fish porridge ...
Can you please think about adding a fish seller? maybe a citizen of sandrock that fishes and like twice a month or something he sells fish to the public? so we can buy fish? (we can still fish but this would help us more as well with orders) - Portia has a fisherman that comes every so often .. can we not try to tie these two together?
Also - can we please add garlic seeds to be planted and grown? i have to buy out the mysterious man twice every month (on the 20th and 21st of the month) just for garlic.
Also as Bearwyn said to me - eggs - the ranch has chooks (aussie and kiwi for chickens) .. why not sell eggs?
And Krystal ... her husband is a miner ... can't she sell gems?

So points to think about for future add?
Fish Seller + Bait
Garlic seeds
Egg seller
Gem seller
Be able to scavenge around town - clean it up

I'm strongly in favor of adding more merchant characters to the game...I mentioned in another thread that by the midgame there aren't enough sinks to sell excess resources to.

It would be great to have the Portia fisherman (can't recall name) visit Sandrock to trade fish and bait. It would link the 2 towns together even more especially as the tunnel is being built.

More merchants, local and travelling would be great.

What about a library & visitors centre?
Jasmine could run it ...

Use that old train carriage behind the station.
Have a mission to fix it up. Everyone gets involved donating something.

Postcards to send to family and friends in other places

It would actually be really cool if Elsie picked up like a sandfish stall as a side hustle or something as part of her "growing up" arc; still being able to do things she enjoys while also working independently of her parents (and of course it'd be nice to not have to go fish up my own sandfish if I don't want to)

Egg is uncommonly dropped by Rocket Roosters and is a guaranteed drop from ♥♥♥♥-a-doodle-Doom.
Eggs can be produced by adult Hens in a Chicken Coop.
Eggs can also be occasionally obtained by opening Bird Nests and special places.

All dishes Garlic is used to cook are currently unimplemented.

You can buy Quartz and Bloodstone from the Ceramic Gate. You can get most other gemstones from the Civil Corps and vending machines, in exchange for Civil Corps tokens.

Eggs
It makes sense for a farm to sell eggs. They sell the chooks.
The farm sells meat and other produce which can be gained from other sources so why not eggs.
Not everyone wants or has the space for a chicken coup, especially if still expanding their land.

Library
City Hall has the shop to buy some things. So far it's more for the residents/builders use.
I wanted to explore ideas of more vendors/facilities and create more active links with other towns and cities, especially Portia.
Jasmine is a well known lover of books and she already delivers the mail, it wouldn't be work as such, more of a hobby. Perhaps someone else in charge (Mort?) and she's like an assistant.

I don't want a chicken coop .. i have one on my other builder and its a pain ,, every morning clean up the crap and grab the eggs/feathers ... i have enough to do LOL ...

If at the end of it all (game is fully updated, factory/green house is in etc) if i have a helper sure i might add those things in but right now running around too much to be able to take care of animals other then my horse and pets.

Thanks for the suggestions. Sandrock is still in Early Access so quiet a lot of features are still missing, we're working on adding more stuff into the game!

Honestly Elsie could become a fish vendor later in the game, she loves to sandfish after all as a past time, she could probably make profit with it.

And what exactly do you mean by egg seller? Chicken eggs, fish eggs? What type of eggs... You get chicken eggs out the wazoo in the game quickly...

My biggest complaint with animal care is having to pet them one-by-one and wait for the animation. UGH. Either give me that Portia feather duster option (ideal), or speed up that animation. Not thrilled with all the poop pickup one-by-one either, but it's WAY faster.

Fishing - I never ever bought from Toby because fishing was a gold mine. But I would like to see MORE CARP. They are the only fish that only ever seem to come out one at a time. They are what I need most for commissions, but I am taking forever to get a good stack of them. I have plenty of worms, so it's not a bait issue, just...still not that into sandfishing - it's tedious. Portia fishing was too, but there wasn't such a long wait time and you got a bite every time. I like that you can catch more than one at a time (though, dang, the wait for them all to come together is tedious!), but, again, carp never do this.

As to more store options, I suspect that will happen as people begin to return to Sandrock. Lack of people - lack of vendors.

EDIT: K, might not need more carp if the pattern I am now seeing is true: I taught myself a bunch of new recipes and now I am getting a much wider range of requests on the board (and from different people - so FYI folks as this will help with building relationships). However, now the issue is MEAT. There is nowhere near enough meat drops in this game.

Agreed, the poop and petting animations are pretty slow, however you can pick up the poop really quickly if you spam the button and can do the same with petting if they're all close enough and spam it. So you can pet multiple animals at once doing this and rapid fire cleaning up the poop.

Oh, I know about the spamming, but it seems really hard to get them in just the right place. Just standing next to a few isn't enough to do it. Also, if they are standing on the bloody feeding tray, petting is even more of an effort.

The poop animation is fast enough, I'm less bothered by it (especially as it costs no stamina), but boy do I miss Ack!
