As for now, we don't have a plan to make the MC dialogues because we think everyone gets their imagination to the MC, so either giving dialogues or the voice acting will define the MC, which is not what we want. We want to keep the diversity of personality and leave the room for players to imagine their MC.

Ultimately for me it comes down to "their game, their choice" but I can still express my disappointment at the decision. Certainly not enough that I won't play the game and enjoy it, but I might have been able to enjoy it just a little bit more otherwise. It'd be a little easier to slip into that lucid dream-like state when you don't have to read dialog choice options and then pick one.
100% the same, this is the reason why I hold my current stance on voiced player characters!
I always prefer having a meaningful choice, rather than a meaningless one, or no choice at all. I think this was a very poor decision.
I'm disappointed there probably won't be a a voiced protagonist, after-all it should be possible to just turn off the voice if you prefer not to have it. But it's hardly a deal-breaker for me, and I guess there's bigger priorities for the devs.
Most people would prefer no VA for RP reasons.
I don't often actually care about RP'ing in games, but with games like MTAS/P, at least I can somewhat get a small sense of immersion, like it's "me" in the game.
Quite frankly, the voice acting in the entirety of Portia/Sandrock is just bad.
I don't wan't my builder included in that.
The No Voice option should be sufficient for all the people who don't want a voice, so there's no good reason to argue against giving a voice to the people who do want one.
Most people do not want voice acting. It's not about qualifications. It's literally about what I've seen people say lol.
And, again, the voice acting for EVERYONE in Portia and Sandrock is bad. Another poorly voiced character is not something that is needed.
