Cowboy Logan, (Wolverine). Basically same guess as you, I can honestly see it lol. Or Harvey Logan maybe who rode with members of Butch Cassidy's gang.

Or maybe it was a random name? Who knows. D:

Most likely Wolverine for the reasons you stated, but maybe the devs just have a lot of friends in Canada and he's named after one of them? In that case, he could as easily have been named Gordie!
