Especially since the binary gender choice is 100% about aesthetics and 0% related to actual game mechanics (romance options aren't gender locked, player character is referred to with they/them pronouns if pronouns end up being relevant at all regardless of gender, you can pick any voice for any character regardless of gender, etc), it would be nice to see it taken all the way and have everything accessible to every player character regardless of gender (would be cool to have a male Builder able to wear one of those cute Sandrunning skirts, for example, you know? Or conversely, if I have a female Builder who is not interested in wearing skirts but IS interested in more casual outfits, the options there also become more limited because of certain small details being gender locked)
There is also medical disorders that causes females to grow beards... I should know.. I have it. D; Beard hairs are my bane...
Anyways... Yeah it might be hard for the team to adjust the playing characters as it is due to already being made, they would have to change all their animations, clothing, how they affect the world and everything, it would take a very long time to adjust.
Players would have to make a choice, new content, or new ways your character might appear fat, short, skinny, tall, or well built....
Honestly I would rather have new content because I want to be able to stare at Logan more hehehehe.
I've already put in over 50 hours into the game...
I put almost 200 into Portia.
The mechanics are great, I love the story, and the overall flow of the game is wonderful. I am looking forward to multiplayer, more content, and anything else the Devs are up to. :)
Really though, they can place it anywhere and I would definitely be interested.
