Logan's Voice

Is anyone else disappointed with Logan's voice? I'm not upset with the voice acting but its nothing as I imagined him sounding. He sounds like he's 45 instead of early 20's. I thought he would sound like the mysterious vandal but instead he sounds like a gruff old cowboy.

The voice acting overall's decent. I don't have a problem with Logan's voice. The ones that annoy me are Pen (although maybe that's on purpose as the VA is doing a great job of portraying a smarmy egomaniac), Yan (again, possibly on purpose!), Trudy, and to a lesser extent the way-too-obvious "you couldn't find an actual cat to meow into a microphone?" of the local felines.

I'll point a microphone at my cat if you want. You should hear him between when I say "cat food" and when I get the dish down for him. THAT is what a meowing cat sounds like!

If nothing else, the voice acting is a gigantic, super-sized improvement over the hilariously bad VA in Portia. That was "Tidus laughing in Final Fantasy X" levels of awful.

Yan and Logan have the same voice-actor believe it or not... Also I think Logan is late 20's. I think he's 28 from what I read.

Logan's voice is actually fine in my opinion. But yeah, not a huge fan of Yan's voice... And Bronco's voice bugs me some too.


Also the cats having human meows is odd but who am I to judge... xD Ive played divinity 2 with the ability to speak to animals... now that is weird and i feel bad for the voice actors lol.

It sort of fits given he is supposed to have lived a fairly hard life even before going on the run. All in all, I think the voice actors did a pretty good job creating a voice that's fitting for their character(s). The problem is that sometimes they seem to just phone in their performance. Owne/Pen does a great job, so does Jazmin/Mi-an, and even Cooper most of the time. Catori's VA also gave a pretty masterful performance in the scene where everyone wants their money back and she's talking to Jazmin after they all leave. But, Grace, for example, can feel pretty flat at times. Like the scene where she's talking to herself, cleaning up after Musa's visit that turns into bedlam. It just seems very flat and uninspired to me and really detracts from the intended humor of the scene. Justice also generally seems kind of flat. Unsuur is (I assume) supposed to sound like that, so I don't judge them by it. Qi is also rather uninspired, even for someone who's supposed to be kind of aloof and only really interested in their research.

I get Pathea's not working with a AAA game studio budget, so I can easily overlook this, but I'll leave this here in case Acneman wants to take some of the notes back to the VA studio to maybe redo some lines.

I mean it's almost like he is a gruff old cowboy... lol he's not old tho he's 28. For me, his voice sounds good for his age, I've met men in their early 20's with rough deeper voices than Logan's. Also I don't know if u hear it, but I'm personally glad he sounds a bit goofy. xD

He's a goofy himbo, he's just got some baggage lol

I guess that's just not what I was imagining. I imagined him as a intelligent man gone rogue from trauma that could be convinced of his ways later, cuz he was my #1 prospect for romance. The voice just throws me in another direction and he's not even on the list anymore. But if everyone else likes it then ya'll go ahead ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ lol

He is impulsive man with a heart of gold. The intelligent one is Haru. (I don'T think Logan as dumb as others like to headcanon him, but he has a serious impulse control, and he lacks wisdom)

Honestly I dont think Logan is stupid, I just think he's not thinking everything through, of course he was also thrown into a horrible situation where its really hard to make any right decision.

His voice though honestly isn't that bad, he could sound a lot worse...

They could've made him sound like Mickey Mouse or Donald Duck for all we know. xD

Maybe I'm biased because Mandarin is my second language but the Chinese voices just fit the characters better in my opinion (especially Logan).

Yeah, Logan's not an idiot, he just doesn't think things through very well (that's what he needs Haru for lol)

Yeah, the first time I got Owen's voice with Pen's lines was jarring. Happens throughout the mission unpossible quest chain.

Most of the voices I don't have an issue with but the way Trudy stumbles over her speech constantly is... difficult to listen to. I understand it's a trait, but it's just difficult. I skip everything she says not to have to hear it.
Same with Yan, the sound of it just grates on my nerves.

I know these are character choices, but if they could dial it back a little, I might actually listen to/read their dialogue. As it stands, from my perspective they might as well have not even given these two voices.
