The only limits are the game engine.
Edit: Karmic, they mean the stovepipe decor that comes with the house initially (on the west side). Don't think they have figured out they can remove or move it by selecting the 3rd tab then selecing the decor item they want to manipulate.
OP:
1st tab deals with Room Creation (or building if you prefer).
2nd Tab deals with Doors and Windows.
3rd Tab Deals with Decor items (signs, pipes, Flower Boxes, Lights
4th Tab Deals with External Stuff, Animal Housing, Assembly Platform.
5th deals with Items you placed on lots, Machines, Relics, Furnature.
6th deals with Hard to explain....Showroom stuff, avoid for now until you have the money and time to figure it out.
