MARRIAGE OPTIONS CAN'T WAIT!
MARRIAGE when it becomes available, I hope they don't just say "I Do" and "Hi Aand Goodbye" on the same day like in Portia and other games. In Portia, you have the marriage scene and then you are left to take some pictures and that's it. Looks like everyone stays in the Church with your spouse all day. I've asked my spouse to come with me, but he just says he has other things to do. This is kinda disappointing. I hope in Sandrock, at least you can have a party afterwards or you go somewhere special with your spouse on your Wedding Day that is at least a little romantic.

Thanks to everyone who is involved with My Time at Sandrock, I am enjoying every minute of the game!

What would be nice, is after the ceremony everyone goes outside the Blue Moon for a reception with dancing , music by Cooper and Hugo and a couple tables with food,

In Portia when my builder married Dr. Xu, he stormed out immediately after the cutscene. I went to find him and he gave me the unhappy spouse dialogue. Hopefully they'll at least keep these kinds of bugs from happening, but yeah... marriage is kind of the end of the fun even in other similar games like Stardew. It almost feels like a punishment, which I don't vibe with.

In some games when you get marry you parthner lost all his personality, and in others dont get nothing new, I hope here the parthner get a lot of new social values and the town too about you being married about that character

I would love it if your choice of marriage partner had some practical gameplay effect. Marry Elsie and she'll take care of the animals for you. Or if you marry Owen it'll add dimension to the cooking that you can't get any other way. Marry Heidi and get improvements to your home or up the stats of the items you've got in the house or the yeard. Just a few ideas off the top of my head.

The more it feels like you've got a unique, chosen partner rather than just a trophy, the better it will be. Granted, "earn tokens and win trophy" is such a cliched part of relationship design in games that it's endlessly meme-able in gaming culture. Would love to see game devs in general find ways to make this better.

Lets just hope it doesn't end up like another Mr. Musa event.... :steammocking:

Otherwise I'd be getting up on that stage in my wedding gown and kicking some butt. xD

That said, I really do think it would be cool to add a little after party after getting married. :D

I hope so.. Some similar games have events after marriage and even after having children (HM Animal Parade, RF 4 etc..) will there be rival marriages? I always loved how in animal parade the other people can marry and have their own children

At least in Portia, unlike others games, even after mariage all the spouses mantain they own life and jobs, and helps MC in their own ways (Mint take care of the animals, Gust provide some money, etc...). I lost count of how many divorces I had in SV because I didn't want that fool inside the house all the time. That never happened in Portia, thanks devs.

But it would be nice to have a party or a romantic event (RF4). Rival marriages would be fantastic, why only Albert marries Sonia?

Dear gods, no! Please do NOT force us to listen to country music!!!!!!!

But I like the rest of it.

I also really want more date/play options. And am I the only one that can't make anything work at the game center? There's an icon for it as well as the wack-a-mole, but nothing happens inside the gaming center.

More everything - that's the rule. 😉

True to life I'm afraid.

The marriage option should be available to players early next year, with some basic features that players can expect. The team will continue to add more functions/features to the marriage system after the update to provide an enhancing marriage experience.

I just got engaged to Fang, and then woke up the next day with him in my house and -5 points because he didn't have a bed, then read a letter from my bestie saying I got married without her, then on the actual wedding day there's nothing, like the game just rook our engagement and erased everything about the married. I can't even get access to a double bed. Major issue there.
Livia Jun 2, 2023 @ 11:55pm
Yeah, I didn't like that you don't really get engaged - they are just immediately in your house the next day, so better plan to get married immediately. I also found that very jarring.
