Industrial furnace help

So in order to build the new machines, I need to make an industrial furnace. The issue I'm having is that i need to make magnesium-chromium bricks. The recipe says I need a civil furnace to make them, but When I go to my civil furnace, the ability to make the bricks is locked saying that it requires a civil furnace? Is this a bug or am I missing something?

1. the mine that drop's magnesium as regular drop is not available yet as the developers need to drop some stuff from this update due to political reasons in China.
2. you may need to buy the recipe from Yan's shop

well you need magnesium and i dont think that its in the game yet

I have the recipe and some magnesium ore (not sure from where?). Maybe the ability to actually make it will come with the next update?

My working theory is that it MIGHT be a mob drop at the moment. More of a guess to be honest

mine aluminium scraps and advanced mechanical scraps from the valley then run them thru your upgraded recycler ... should get some stuff from it ... i've built my furnace already doing this i believe .... going by memory .. haven't played in a few days ...

You'll be able to make magnesium chromium bricks in your civil furnace once the rest of this update comes through. You don't need them to finish the current story-line though. Just update your recyclers and any other machines that don't need magnesium-chromium and you'll be fine. I finished everything available so far without any magnesium and nobody asked for anything that I couldn't make, not even on the commission board.

Check for recipes to buy in the Commission Hall. There are several new recipes there that will help.

I ended up with like 43 Magnesium Ore from the Shipwreck Confidential story quest by mining every pile of dirt that was hidden around in there.

I guess that story quest was a one-time thing though so no going back in.

In order to upgrade your civil furnace you need magnesium chormium bricks, the recipe can be bought at the Commerce Guild.

No. That's manganese. Magnesium is the white ore.
