Steel Daggers and Chromium Daggers

Is anyone else unable to get the materials from monsters to make the tanned leather, which precludes you from making the steel daggers? I get hard animal leather, but the coarse leather seems to be impossible to find now post-update.

On a somewhat related note... Does anyone know which monsters drop claws?

Personally I suspect that the intent was to change all the "coarse leather" to "hard leather" but the change wasn't completed in time for the update.

Bandirats. At this point you only have one encounter with any.

Coarse I last saw on the Penski's. Might also be on the Boxer Kangaroo guys (blanking on their name)

Edit: Verified, Penski's and Boxing Jacks Drop Coarse. Thorny Jumpers do NOT.

Yeah unfortunately only Bandirats drop claws. You could wait for the next update or consider bypassing that weapon for another.

If you research and upgrade your forge you can unlock the Alloy Daggers, which can be made with the items added with the update.

you can still get coarse leather from Boxing Jacks, Pensky. and the civil guard commissions

Yeah, the devs need to fix that so you can't make the best daggers in the game (so far) before you can even get the materials to make the penultimate daggers.

As previously mentioned, Penski's and Boxing Jacks Drop Coarse.

You can get Claws from placing an order at the Civil Corps. They will go out and fetch it for you.
