fang romance?

i unlocked hanging out and stuff but i want to know does fang confess to the player like alvio or is the only why to date him is to give him the heart knot?
i dont want details i just really dont want to miss a scene where he confesses by hurrying too give him the heart knot.

the Heart knot. The writers said in the video there is much more to come.
I had my kiss and hug and now i can wait :)

So far it looks like after the first hang out there isn't anything else...what I'm doing is running two saves that way if there IS an Arvio-esque reverse confession coming up in the future I can go back and trigger it but I still have a file where I can get the romance lines and all that good stuff :)

Oh no. I just gave him the heartknot and he accepted my gift. <- kiss hug came then because i waited so long ^^

THEN i watchted the writers video and replayed that day.

how do you unlock the dates with fang? have him and X as a good friend now but still dont see an option to date him

You have to do all of Fang and X's quests that are currently implemented to unlock the option (Thief > Track the Suspect > Saving Private Raven > Cheery Conspiracy > Fragrant Memories > Relapse > Remember the Good Times > Leaving the Nest > What's "Hanging Out?"). You unlock the ability to do playdates and to confess with the heart knot after finishing the last one in the list. I've also seen speculation that you need to do Arvio's Delivery Trainee quest as well but I've never seen that confirmed one way or another

is there any particular way to unlock them or just level up friendship with fang? not sure which im on currently. the last offical quest i had was making him his tofu. and lately i had a cutsceen in which he fainted and i brought him to my house

Just keep levelling up your friendship, ... give him mapo tofu every day and also give X gifts as well when you can get him on his own (not on fang's shoulder) ... all the missions will unlock as you level it up. Also keep note of their birthdays to get any extra points in.

Are extra points on birthdays working now? I haven't had time to play much on the current patch but last patch birthday gifts were still giving normal points, and most people didn't even have a special birthday message.

If he just fainted, give it a few days and X will come to your door to start Relapse (you're a little over half-way through the quest line at this point). And yeah, once you get past Cheery Conspiracy, the big trigger seems to be friendship level and previous mission completion

I could confess to Fang right after the update even before getting access to Relapse.

And he accepted? He's supposed to always refuse when you try to present him with it until then

He did accept it, on first try too. Later after Relapse it took like a week of trying but he eventually accepted then too.
