Water Management Tips
Visit Burgess Water World EVERYDAY - Buy the first 5-25, whichever is at the discount rate, NEVER buy the full price.
Don't turn dew into water until you have the Workshop Knowledge to spend 8 Dew, rather than 10 Dew
Avoid Gardening until you have an excess supply of water over 60, and at least 6 Dew Collectors, add another collector for every 4 Straw Fences you place.
Try to wait until Winter Time to start your farm. As all machines spend half water, allowing for you build up a larger surplus of water.

Research Priority
Basic Machines -> Dew Collector -> Drying Rack -> Specialized Machines -> Advanced Machines -> Reforger -> Ore Refinery -> Fire-Powered Generator -> Cooking
Cooking Machines should always be the last priority, learning them early, will staunch your progress, while also putting a serious drain on your water supply, due to the fact that you will need to get a LARGE Garden going.
Fire-Powered Generator can be substituted in, if your story progresses into the Geegler's Hideout earlier. It will greatly cut down on Fuel Usage.

Stamina Management in the Early Game
Dry Sandberries, Fish, and Meat.
Avoid buying the most expensive items on Blue Moon's Menu, Aim for 100 Stamina, while spending under 100 Gols.
The most expensive items only give 3-5 Stamina over the Middle-ground foods.
Regardless of what weapon you intend to use later in the game as a primary, early use the Heavy Sword, it cost the same amount of stamina as the others and does 2-3 times the damage.

Early Gols
For Quick, easy early Gols, after you receive the Letter in the mail from Heidi about Construction Junction, head over there, use the book on her table to manage your workshop space.
Destroy the Roof, as it will give you back about 1000 Gols, additionally, you can sell the hanging Sign with a wrench on it for 300 Gols as well. You can always come back later on when you are rich and
build you House back up a different way.
While Logging/Quarrying sometimes a little scorpion will jump out, chase it down and press the Interact Key to pick it up, they can be sold for 64 Gols each.
If you are really hurting for Gols, around level 10, go to the bridge, there are 2 Geegler Associates you can kill daily, they drop Lizard Fangs, worth 5 Gols each.
DISCLAIMER: AVOID BUILDING A LOT OF STUFF IN YOUR HOUSE IF YOU PLAN TO REMODEL LATER. EVERY ITEM, INCLUDING CHESTS AND CONTENTS OF CHESTS, WILL BE MAILED TO YOU AFTER YOU REMODEL THE HOUSE.
Do a Commission EVERYDAY, try to aim for something simple, you are primarily using the commissions for Workshbop Rep to hit Rank 2 so you can do unlimited commissions per day.
Doing the commission everyday also will gain you relationship EXP, covered in the next section.
Talk to Everyone everyday, spend your first 2 points in the Social Knowledge in this order:
- Social Activity Knowledge - Rank 1
- Social Butterfly Knowledge

Once you hit Social Knowledge Level 3, talk to Fang and use Acupuncture and pick up:
- Commission Knowledge
- Quick Delivery Knowledge
- Chart-Topper Knowledge

Doing it this way will ensure you get the MOST out of your commissions as quickly as possible, if done correctly and pursued, you can reach Social Rank 3 at the end of the Fireside Meeting on the 7th day of Summer.
Resulting in you making a TON of Gols within the first month of the game, and reaching Workshop Rank 1, by the end of Summer.

Knowledge Tips
Along with the previous information concerning Social Knowledge
Best Results Early Game and for a smoother Progression Curve:

Gathering Knowledge
Basic Stone Knowledge - 1&2
Advanced Stone Knowledge - 1&2
Disc Finding Knowledge

This will give you more Data Discs early on to get research completed faster, speeding up 3-4 day research times can be quite costly.
In the Mid game, once you are down to your last 2-3 Machines, you can use Acupuncture to put that Disc Finding Knowledge into Gem Finding Knowledge to gain more gems for Reforging.

Workshop Knowledge
Mass Production Knowledge - 1&2
Water Conservation Knowledge - 1&2
Time Management Knowledge - 1&2

This goes with the aforementioned Water Management section earlier, machines using less water means you save water, and machines producing faster, means they aren't running as long, therefore less water used.

Combat Knowledge

With the current Build, and Knowledge Tree, and weapons available, just go down the Melee Side, and the 3 pips into your preferred weapon, then HP, for now get the Ranged Weapon Perk after you finish Main Weapon and HP.

Sorry if the Format is kinda crap, I am terrible with Steam Post Formatting.

Another chest, southwest of the workshop, under a small bridge over a narrow ravine close to the cliffs. Needs a duster to clear sand away.

Thanks for taking the time to write this. It is short, concise and very helpful.

Some other tips for a bit closer to the midgame:

As soon as you're strong enough to beat the Rockyenarolls and the mutants past Cooper's ranch, you can break down the aluminium scrap in the Valley of Whispers—you'll take poison damage until you get to the point in the main quest where you get the hazmat suit, but healing items and working quickly mean you'll get enough scrap to make plenty of magnesium-aluminium alloy bars from the civil recycler. Use those to make Super Dew Collectors as soon as you can. Get a row or two of those and your water problem's just about permanently sorted.

If you don't care about the character elements of the romance system (funny to say this as 1.4 comes out), marry Venti. She's easy to butter up with her early girlfriend quest combined with her being very easy to please—she loves gold, opals, and other stones, very similar to Unsuur's loved-item table, so it's easy to get her affinity level up quick.

She's also the most powerful workshop helper in the game, even more than the Magic Mirror. Sure, she's got the personality of a brick, but if you're doing a mechanics-based playthrough/challenge run, she'll free up a TON of time harvesting your machines for you.

And finally, you can never have too many machines (limited only by your ability to bring water in to your workshop either through dew collectors or buying from Burgess.) Build until you simply can't keep all your machines supplied with raw materials, only then will you have enough.
