Graphite?

Hello,

I need graphite to make steel bars but i cant find any near the Quarry and cant get to gecko station yet. I haven't been able to make any for 4 game days until i realized i can keep going into the breach to get like 3 or so at a time. There has to be an easier way!! Is anyone else having this problem? I can't buy from Hammer time yet either.

Can't get graphite yet (mabe from Rocky's shop though?). You need to make the steel bars from the recycler for now using iron scrap from sleep pods + junkyard.

I tried Rockys shop too, no luck :( maybe i'm missing something because i cant get iron scrap yet. hmm, i'll see whats up with that. Best lead i've had so far. thank you!!!

You unlock Iron Scrap after the Geegler hideout story mission.

Once you build a train bridge you can go into a desert area with scorpions and kangaroos, near the red rocks you should be able to find GREY STONES called "mixed materials or something like that"... It will drop Graphite and some gems.

Alternatively you will have to dig through dirt a lot in the 2nd Mines ( Geegler Hideout needs to be cleaned out by Civil Corps ).
