Birthday party
Just woke up and got a message along the lines of "3 days until your birthday...." There was more to it than that but it went away before I could read it. Something about a party? Do you now need to do a birthday party for yourself?!? What's going on?

You have that option. You need the banquet table from the gamecenter I think and to send invitiations. Thats all I know and is likely far from useful (or even correct).

It is correct. The Banquet Table is required. Invitations have to be given out before the event. The Party must be set up 24hrs minimum before the event ( so if you get the table on your Birthday, you won't be able to select that day to set up a party ).

Max invites is like 10 people? The invitations show up in the Special tab of inventory. I frankly wish there were a way to 'mail' them in a select a townsperson screen, but you do have to hand deliver them.

Some people might turn you down depending on the time you schedule the party. You may run into issues getting invitations out prior to the party if you set up the party too early in the morning.

Not sure if I missed anything. I think you can spend a bit extra for Music or Fireworks. You will need food in your Inventory in order to restock the Table in case it runs out of food.

But do you *have* to throw a party? Or can you just do nothing that day and still get presents from folks?

Yeah the party is an option, not a requirement. Gifts should be based on your relation level. I don't know how that works in detail though. Should be getting presents from buddies and greater. Not sure about associates.

In RL I just invite my friends to some pizzas (let the people of the restaurant to clean the dishes), so I never like to do party's in game. Glad to know it's optional.

in game you don't have to clean up either . you just put the table back into your inventory/storage ...

NO... My point is I don't want to get that trouble :) If it's like Portia's partys I'll pass.

I thought there'd be more to the party, but people mostly wander around, occasionally sit and eat, some will stand for the fireworks then the food. You do get relationship points for the party members for attending, but it's definitely not necessary.

I was hoping for some dance options, maybe 'birthday' conversation, being able to set off the fireworks at a specific time and we all watch together - maybe select some firework designs. But it's not that complex lol.

Yan was a no show to mine - he's at friend status with my builder - I think that if someone you invite doesn't show up after they said they would, should get some penalty of some kind .. not to the builder .. maybe like a conversation of hey you said you would come but you didn't .. blah blah ...

I got the banquet table and put it in my house. I went to my inventory to look for the invitations, which they say are supposed to be under the star or special tabs. I clicked on every single tab, and the invitations are not there. What do I do now? I made sure the party was at least 24 hours from now and still nothing. I can't deliver invitations if I don't have them. Any suggestions?
