Even though it's my birthday, Sandrock people don't know anyone.No one gives me a present. It's really lonely and boring. In Portia, the villagers put a lot of presents in front of the door, so I felt so happy when I woke up. Sandrock villagers welcome me to no one. When you socialize with the residents, no one congratulates you. It's such a sad birthday

I can tell you they drop presents off in waves. It's not all at once.
If the day is gone and you do have friends but no presents. That sounds like a bug. Am sorry though you got no presents here:

You have to be buddies with the npc for them to give you a gift ...
also every day i check the calendar to see who's birthday it is the next day (if you talk to them enough they tell you when their birthday is) and then i find out what their loved gifts are via the wiki and gift it to them ....

I agree that none of the npcs have a voiced or text birthday greeting. And it'd be awesome for you to NOT have to organize your own party.

I got like 3 gifts the day before my birthday and 5 the day of. I didn't have a SO at that time either and was barely two hearts with anyone.

1st year i got nothing from no one cause i couldn't be bothered lol, i was too busy trying to get to number 1 on the board ... 2nd year everything got easier and i managed to get everyone to friendship level now in my 3rd year with some even at best friend or BFF (Fang and X) ... hoping to get more presents this year LOL ...

I got a lot of gifts on my character's birthday, however mine was in the Spring so I'd had a fair amount of relations built by that time.

It would be a really interesting story detail if say Owen were to plan your first birthday at Sandrock as a party at the Bluemoon. Having him attempt to make it a surprise party or some sort. It just fits his personality - offering you a meal on the house upon your first few days of Sandrock, ect.

It could even be an interesting event if Mi'an's birthday were equally thrown at the Bluemoon ( the first one ), and you have the option of attending. ( I know, shocker. I've expressed a lot of disdain for Mi'an events, but it being optional and equal to one for the Builder would be fitting. )

I don't know how difficult that would be to implement though, or even if that'd be something they'd be interested in pursuing as they have their own story-plans ( which I'm eagerly awaiting for Christmas Time ).

They do give you gifts. I remember X was one of the only people who gave me a gift for mine, which was pretty funny, cuz it came with a default human message on it. So, y'know, first of all X is capable of writing, and secondly he's much more eloquent in writing than in person. :)

I do hope they make it a little bit more of an event, though. Even in Portia it's a bit lonely and boring since nobody actually stops to hang around.

I really like this idea. I'd love it if they did something like this. It does really fit him.
