One of the NPCs even mentions "why do you put all your machines outside?" and I thought.."yea, that's a good question."
Hopefully the current inefficiencies are only the result of the limited content we get in EA.
I mean, getting a bunch of sand in all your stuff isn't that good either. Getting a safe clean indoors work area would make sense for the tier progression, especially for dealing with higher rarity items.
Sandrock is a desert, and water is life. conserve water. Do it for Shai-Hulud.
Yeah, its for "overheating" but how is that an issue for the civil forge? The dust mechanic makes sense, and i can understand more complex machines overheating, but it does strike me as a little weird. Now if there was a thirst mechanic, one where you need to drink water to have full stamina each day, that makes more sense and is more realistic.
The water is to prevent the machines from overheating. Because burning fuel+desert sun=a LOT of heat.
one water a day is not remotely a lot when you can buy 5 a day for 50 gol
I think the space is way too small for everything. I have fully developed the property, but there is not enough space for the house to expand it. The animals, plants and machines have already lost their place.
Would the property ever be expanded?
Not sure from your post if you realized you could expand your property by clicking on the signs just outside your fence.
Or if you did know that and expanded to the maximum and it still wasn't enough.
Even if you expand your property to its 20k maximum its still not enough room. Go to Heidi the Constructor and even test to build the Barn. This building alone takes a quarter of your entire space. And some players surely wanna test every facette of the game like Farming, livestock husbandry, building. Which all takes alot space...not to mention you propably wanna increase the size of your house too...just in case they finally add marriage to the game.
Farming is also insidious. farm land improves with each planting, so you NEED to reuse the same patch of land over and over again. If this had a rune factory crop rotation mechanic i would be ok with it, but it does not. I miss planter boxes. you can move those. but if you want to expand your property, or build new structures, then you may ruin good farmland.
