Excavating the sky

I think i am stuck on this quest. In it i have to find and assemble the Equatorial Mount Piece for Qi but i found this already and gifted this to him before i gotten the quest. i must of cleared the abandoned ruins near the salvage yard many times over got all the relics sitting in the museum and even gifted some to the locals (because they don't stack) but no matter how many time i try, I just don't get any piece.

Do i get these in an other dungeon? like with the camara?

its in there took me hours to get the last one its only on the last 3 floors

Yeah i know it's in there, because i gifted a complete one.... but after that i never found a single peace, much like the camara pieces after assembled them.

Atm i gone true this thing 11 times 1-11 floor and nothing. got like every other relic found 5 times, yep got 3 complet eagels 7 DNA things 6 bridges but no Equatorials

I did the same thing that Xent, I gifted the Equatorial Mount before I had the quest and now, it's impossible to find an another piece of it.

Same here, did anything change for you guys? Were you ever able to find more pieces in the ruins?

i restarted a new game and hold on to the item till i got the quest, strange thing is that now the pieces are added to the runes drop list floor 9-11
