Recycler not registering

I built the recycler on the assembly station but it is not acting like I finished it.

You finish the quest by going to talk to Yan afterwards.

I mean the recycler isn't letting me take it off the assembler like its acting like its waiting for more parts to finish.

Strange. Are you sure you don't still need a part? one of the options when you get near it is to swap which parts its asking for. If you're absolutely sure you've put all the parts on and aren't seeing any options when you get near it, then it might be a bug of some sort.

Try using the book and reclaiming all the parts and put them back on again if you know you have everything. If that doesn't work, no idea.

I tried that as well. I even went to bed hoping a new day would reset something,but its still showing like it need something but the numbers show 2/2 thay sort of thing that its there but not there lol.

can we see a screenshot? Also, you've tried pressing 'R' to make sure there isn't any other items required?

also, dumb question, but you've pressed 'E' to pick it up i assume?

I apologize if this sounds annoying but since I can't see over your shoulder I'm going to walk you through the process to see if you missed something.

1. Select the recycler recipe from the book (I know you did this)

2. Have in your inventory:
-2 Stone Troughs
-2 Grinding Saws
-3 Wood

3. Walk up to the phantom image of the recycler and add each of the items listed. The 'E' key adds the items. The 'R' key will let you cycle through each of the components to see what you still need.

4. If all that works correctly the phantom image is replace with the real item which you can pick up and place on your property. (You don't need to bring the item to your boss, just make it)

If all of the above is what you already did, then file a bug report from the main screen. Because its a major bug that will keep you from moving forward on the story.

I'm playing with an xbox controller, not sure if that may have something to do with it as well.
I will try it again/take a screenshot next time I play.

hi, I had the same problem, playing with a controller as well. I think it might be a bug, but I managed to make it work.

try "retrieving all" and building it again. retrieving all the materials separately didn't cancel the crafting process for me, but after I used the retrieve all button and tried again, it worked.

after the recycler is crafted, it will have a sparkling visual effect and will make a sound, you will also be able to pick it up.

I had this exact problem.
The game already had the ghost image of the Recycler ready on the platform. Even after you build it with the three components and right amount, nothing happens.
It was fixed by using "Retrieve All" and then selecting "Assemble" again from the Assembly Station book or menu. This time when you build the "ghost" of it, it will indeed complete with the sound and sparkle effects.

BTW I was unable to find any way to select "Retrieve All" using the controller, I had to click on it with my mouse.

I just bought the game earlier today and ran into this bug. It looks like it hasn't been squashed yet.

at least the good news is there's a way to 'retrieve all' with the controller now...

Exact same problem, with a controller! Retrieving all the components and building it again fixed it for me as well.
