-- I haven't yet lost anything during a Sandstorm with them activated.
rightside of the frontgate, inner side, there is a button to raise the wall
After purchasing the sandwall, there should be a button on your main fence that you can press during a sandstorm to activate it.
Ooooooohhh is that how it works? I stopped wearing it because I gave it away for a quest and never noticed any consequences so didn't bother. Turns out all the "free sandstorm" loot I've been finding was just my own crap blown away lol. I was wondering why sandstorms somehow seemed to know what stuff I was wanting more of anyway.
Seriously I took the "some items have blown away" message to just mean "go look somewhere for loot" not that it was MY items being blown out of inventory. Lol, guess I'll make myself another sandstorm hat...
Feedback if any dev reads this thread: changing message to "some of YOUR items have blown away" would clearer and more likely to make me gear up. That said... Egg on my face if it does already specify your items and I just ignored it since I filed it away as "bonus loot" message already.
Items got blown away.
Dew evaporating on my collectors extremely quickly.
A bug wherein I don the Sandgear then ride my horse out. When I dismount, my character acts like I haven't worn the Sandgear. Equipping my other hat does the opposite. Entering any building fixes it, and it only happens when I ride the horse out of the yard while the Sandwall is up during a sandstorm.

I never wear sandgear and I haven't had anything blow away with my walls up. I didn't know I was supposed to wear the gear. I saw no disadvantages to wearing my normal outfit during a storm so i don't bother switching.
